E.L.F. Studio Show & Tell & Initial Thoughts

Hey Ladies,

So as you know i was rather excited about elf studio being launched in the uk & they did it early when i was at work! The cheek!! I had visions of sell outs going through my head but thankfully they weren't! Any way that night i had a nice shop & here's what i got!

When they say mini they mean mini! they're so tiny!!!

Tricky to use as they're quite stiff but they could loosen up & i dont quite know whether i like them yet or not.

Love it!! Obviously the treat side result of the product cant be seen for a while but the tame bit is great, i got the light one & it is still quite dark so just be aware of that.

This is much darker in person than the website suggests & does the thing that most elf powders do in that lots of product comes away when you swipe it with a brush! quite annoying!!

A little bit pointless to be honest, the only purpose it served was to remove all colour from my face so not my favorite product and it also does the typical elf powder as mentioned above!!

My nail polishes finally arrived!! i went a bit mental one evening & went pink mad & there's a few other bits i've picked up as well!!




So i got;

Mac Liquid last eyeliner in Point black - i needed a long lasting liquid liner for work so picked this up.
Philip Kingsley elasticizer - I always wanted to try this as i love philip kingsley hair products so i got a sachet size before committing to a full size product as its pricey.

Solar oil - i needed a handbag size cuticle oil & wanted to see how this compares to the burt's bees cuticle creme (a review coming up)
Sworovski Crystals - a bit of nail art & bling can be a wonderful thing!! hehe! on the toe nails of course!

Handbag of The Week!!

Hey Ladies,

So i thought i'd do my handbag of the week for you all & here it is!!





It's my Mulberry Bayswater Bag, I love love love this bag & all my mulberry bags for that matter. They're classics that get better with age if you take care of them correctly & waterproof them which i thank god i did recently as i was caught out in the rain whilst walking to work & it got a bit wet! & not only that but the scratch on the front was from when the van scraped me! the bastard got my bag! i could sue if i got his registration plate! I'm not bothered about my smashed up elbow just my beautiful bag!
Anyway i love this bag because its big & i can fit lots in it but it goes with most outfits brilliantly & just looks understated class when you need it! The only gripe myself & the lovely dressjunkie have with Mulberry's is the fact they dont line their bags, the other side of the leather is just strange & the bits get everywhere, my phone emerges from the inside pocket looking like chubacca from starwars some times!

Other than that it's love!! one of my top 3!

E.L.F. Studio Golden Bronzer Review

Hey Ladies,

I have been dying to try out e.l.f studio since i heard about it from all the American bloggers, so when e.l.f.'s twitter were giving away products everyday i had to be part of it & i WON!!! haha! So i got to pick out a product for free!!

I instantly went to my wish list & was going to pick one of them but then thought to pick a product i wouldn't buy for myself as i was already planning on buying the others!

So here's what i picked!



The e.l.f. studio bronzer in golden bronzer

I love golden bronzers so picked this above the other shades; firstly the packaging is so much nicer than the regular e.l.f. line so you can get this out in public to reapply, secondly i noticed this didnt have the sickening smell that some of the the regular line has which apparently is blood orange! i've eaten a blood orange & it dont smell like that! My final first impression when i swatched it was that it doesnt crumble away, i have bought a regular line bronzer before & when you swipe it so much products comes away, its almost like its too dry if that makes sense so it crumbles & that bronzer completely fell apart after a couple of uses did anyone else experience anything similar? this appears to have been recified by e.l.f.

so what e.l.f. says about this shade

'Golden Bronzer- An illuminating shimmer that is subtle and radiant. Ideal for summer or year-round.'

What I Think
To be honest i wanted to love this product but it's not the most effective bronzer on me as it doesnt add colour necessary but a golden shimmer on my skin, which does look lovely but just not dark enough for my skin tone, on my lighter birds this will add you some colour as well as a shimmer. If you would like a swatch just comment & i'll get it done tomorrow evening for you.

Overall this is a great highlighter on me & thumbs up to e.l.f for releasing a more 'professional' line that still doesn't break the bank & does the trick, i can't wait to play with the rest of the products!!!

Things I'm Loving!!!

I thought i'd do a things i'm loving post for you



Where to begin, where to begin!!

It has to be RMK creamy foundation - i can talk about this bad boy all day & i do tend to do that on twitter! i must sound like a broken record but i swear they should pay me for advertising i tell that many people about it! Anyway its just the best! Makes my skin look flawless & stays put all day & i mean all day, i wore it from 8am til 11:30pm the other day & it was still in place when i took my makeup off!! i'm only on samples with it & desperate to get my hands on a full sized one!

RMK Makeup base Mat - Brilliant again! Makes all foundation last & last & keeps my face mat all day as well!! see above for my desperation to get it! I will resort to selling myself to get it!!!

Nail Tek Foundation 2 - this is a ridge filler & nail strengthener, i'm not gonna lie to you its strange, it kind of matts your nails but does its job & has strengthens my nails brilliantly! highly recommend!

Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Creme - I got this in my burts bees starter kit & i love it!! (i will be doing a review this week) smells amazing!!!

Mac 210 brush - i love the thin line you can get with this brush when subtlety's the aim of the game & you can build it up of course to a thicker line as well! Perfectamundo!!

Shock Absorber Sports bra - i swear this is a miracle worker, i was jumping up & down in this bra & my boobs weren't moving (a sight stu loved seeing) so if any ones in the market i suggest this, its level 3 & the top level is 4 so god knows what that can do!!

& finally ...

LIFE!!!

Really loving life at the moment! didnt get the dream job sadly but have the farm shop job & its full time hours so i musnt complain with lovely people. Have great friends & loads of lovely friends on my blog & twitter, i seriously want to meet everyone & i have my stu back from australia & we've been enjoying each others company since his return!! Just happy in general & no spots which is always a bonus!!! :)

Interview Makeup & outfit!

I thought I'd share my interview look with you all, it may come in useful if any of you have one! I basically go for simple makeup, glowing skin & a bit of eyeliner does the trick. And also i put my hair up for it as well, so that you don't fiddle with your hair during it and end up distract the people interviewing you.

I will explain the 2 blushes by the way, once i've applied my foundation i apply the cremeblush & then set my makeup with the skinfinish & apply the powder blush over the top it gives a really natural flush & ensures it lasts all day.

Well i normally dont really do tags but i was reading this one on LilyLovesLola's blog & really liked it so thought i'd participate!

1. What is your favourite item of clothing?
This normally changes on a day to day basis depending on how fat things make me look, one day i love them the next i hate them. So today its my brand new jeans from littlewoods i think they're so cool!

I love the detailing on them which you can't see from the pictures which makes your legs look so skinny!! & the buttons at the hem of the leg are great, they're basically black skinny jeans but the detailing makes them more unique & sexy!!

2. What are your biggest obsessions?
My biggest obsession is finding bargains, ebay is just porn for me i love it especially when you get a last second bid in & really piss someone off! mwah haha! the amount of crap i end up with just because its a good deal is embarrassing!

3. Who inspires you?

I have to say no one!! its so sad! but you know what guys, all of you do, i love getting to know everyone on here & hearing about your lives & knowing that everyone struggles at times as well yet pulls through & gets stronger is so inspirational to me & you're all gorgeous amazing people!

4. Who is your favourite designer and why?

Handbags - Mulberry, there designs are timeless & their bags last and last.

Shoes - Christian Louboutin , they do the sexiest highest shoes that i find amazing!!

Clothing - Marchesa dresses are unbelievably spectacular i mean look at this

But i love Armani as well, their high end stuff is beautiful and then there's Emporio Armani which sell lovely every day stuff.

ANCHORMAN! i love it with all my heart, i have seen it 100 times with ease & still giggle, i know all the words & find it hilariously ridiculous & silly, & i think thats what films are about, i dont want to watch a film & feel like shit after wards & cry my eyes out thats not enjoyment which is what a films about to me, i want to spit my coke out hitting the person in front of me at the cinema i'm laughing that hard and anchorman does that to me (sorry for the mental image that has put in your head & yes that may have happened once ... or twice)

basically if will ferrells in a film i love it & its one of my favorites i'm very childish, Zoolander is amazing as well, ferrells character's lines makes me laugh so much!!
10. Who's your favourite actor?

On a very shallow level Johnny Depp because he's captain jack & as you all know i fell in love with a pirate a while ago! *sigh*

Otherwise its Tom Hanks, he manages to be the character & not the actor in his roles, i know thats his job but if i see someone like Tom Cruise i just think its tom cruise because i know his real life goings on in the media whereas Tom Hanks stays clear of that so i only see him as his character, Forrest Gump (another of my favorites) makes me cry every time i watch it! i ration myself to 2 watches max a year!
11. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?

Right here, i've got a sleeping stuart (nothing unusual there) next to me, at home where i'm happiest & completely content, i could do with my dog being here though, i'm missing him like mad at the moment & hate that he lives in Spain!!

12. What are your 3 favourite smells?
1. Home, whenever my friend Sarah used to come to my house she said it smelt like washing powder & i never got it until i moved away & used to wash my clothes in Persil (the same as home) i'd take the clothes out of the tumble dryer & put them on my bed still warm & snuggle in them & it just smelt like home & so comforting when you're living away from home for the first time. Stuart thought i was a freak though!! haha

2. Coco Chanel Mademoiselle, its my favorite perfume in the entire world & just smells like southern france in summer & my aunt as well.

3. Men's aftershave, i love armani white for men, the smell of a man is pure heaven to me, when you snuggle up to them & feel so safe, when you were a kid it was your dad so the smell of eternity for men is so warm & safe for me as its my dads & then you get your manfriend & his smell is just love.

Rimmel Sexy Curves Review

Hey Ladies!

I thought i'd do a Rimmel sexy curves review for you & a comparison between the normal one and waterproof one as sometimes they can be very different formulas.

This is my eye without any mascara or anything!! (very blonde lashes!! aahhh!! excuse the dark shadows, a week & a half of looking after a 9 year old is taking it toll on me!)

I didn't curl my lashes before applying & only used a clean mascara wand to tidy them up if needed afterwards otherwise its all the mascara doing the work!

What I Think
I've been using the original sexy curves for a couple of months and i officially love it, with a quick coat you're really good to go and if you have the time for a couple more coats the results are amazing. I'm constantly asked if i'm wearing false lashes with this mascara and seriously recommend it to anyone who asks or is about to buy a mascara, i stopped my aunt from buying Dior show on Saturday & told her & the sales assistant to get it, at the end of the day its a waste of £7 if you don't like it instead of £20 on the Dior one & the results are better in my opinion as i used to use the Dior one & it never made my lashes look this good.
I have no idea what makes this mascara work so well, maybe the spiky brush because manages to coat all the tiny lashes as well as the long ones meaning your lashes look fuller as well as longer or the actual formula of the mascara, quite frankly i don't care all i know is that it is my holy grail mascara now, however there is a drawback in that it does the whole little dark specs under your eye thing if you have it on the bottom lashes which i can live with or just use a different mascara on the bottom!
As far as the waterproof one goes i think its just as good, i have in the past had mascaras & tried their waterproof counterpart & the waterproofness ruins the formula so its not as good as a mascara, its not the case with this as i get the same results regardless of the waterproofness (that's my new word). In regard to how well the waterproof formula works is just a matter of time as i haven't cried yet today, as soon as that happens i will do a little post on the effectiveness of the waterproofness & how easily it is removed. But with the same results as the regular one you may as well get the waterproof! or get both! Its on offer at superdrug at the moment for around £5.80 so stock pile it, i know i am.

Overall a brilliant mascara which i'd recommend to anyone as you can have it natural or work up to sex goddess! i personally have the latter most days!! :)

Hope you're all well, i have got myself a temporary job whilst i look for a permanent office job, its at a farm shop & i start on Friday, quite excited as i'll have actual money & not the fake money which is my overdraft!! :) i can buy makeup & clothes!! (not that having no money stopped me haha)
